The North American Strawberry Growers Association (NASGA) publicly announced Sept. 17 its search for the next individual or business to fulfill the role of executive director. The position is a remote, part-time, contractor position.
Those with knowledge of agriculture, and particularly the strawberry industry, as well as experience working with boards and organizations are particularly encouraged to apply.
The hired applicant will be expected to provide an office to conduct NASGA business, and the address of such will be published as the official contact address of the association.

Expectations
- Perform general office and administrative duties
- Promote, collect, and organize memberships
- Plan board meetings in conjunction with the board of directors
- Participate in board meetings; record and disseminate minutes
- Maintain ongoing communications with board and members
- Maintain financial records, working directly with the bookkeeper and/or designated auditor
- Create and manage annual financial budget
- Provide phone and email lines
- Provide computer(s), copiers, and any other hardware required to provide normal administrative duties
- Assemble and distribute a minimum of four (4) newsletters per year
- Maintain and update existing website, working with a web management service
- Organization and administration of annual conference, summer tour, and international tours
- Promote the submission of research proposals for funding through NASGA Research Foundation
- Support the NASGA Research Committee as needed
