EarthFresh Farms announced Sept. 25 its purchase of Texas-based Mountain King Potatoes.
EarthFresh specializes in potatoes, carrots, and onions, and vows to maintain the Mountain King’s premium and recognizable Steakhouse Russets, Butter Golds, Butter Reds, Butter Russets, and other products.
“We believe that there are great synergies between our two companies that include exclusive varietal potatoes, innovative packaging and products, expanded organic offerings, customer analytics and an expanded supply of fresh potatoes” says Tom Hughes, president and CEO, in a news release.
EarthFresh’s team will be over 400 employees strong, and the additional packing facilities now allow EarthFresh to service North America within 24 hours from its Georgia, Texas, Colorado, Ontario, and Prince Edward Island packing locations.
